You may become a disciplined person (use self control) for whatever change you want in your life! In a sense you become a ‘disciple‘ of whatever you choose to follow, no matter whether sport, hobby, religion etc. which means you adjust your lifestyle so that you get better at what you are working on. This might help in the beginning, but like all good intentions, as the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so there must be something more.

A DISCIPLE IS A DISCIPLINED PERSON WHO WANTS TO CHANGE THEIR LIFE

Collins dictionary puts discipline slightly differently. It is someone-Who wants change in their life, through self control and discipline (and looking for meaning and purpose in life) in order to change their behaviour (life or circumstances)

THE MAIN FOCUS IS THE SPIRITUAL REALM WHERE THESE THINGS TAKE PLACE

The only way to find peace, joy , purpose, happiness, meaning etc is through connecting your spirit to God. In a sense being ‘born again. from above. The principles for renewing the spirit within is based on that of the greatest spiritual teacher in mankind’s history. He said-unless you renew your spirit within you will never experience true happiness and joy. This is not a psychological change, or a philosophical mindset, but a spiritual change.

JESUS WAS AND IS THE MOST RADICAL TEACHER-WHO SAID HE CAME FROM GOD.

Jesus said-in this world you will have trouble-but in me you will have peace!! He also had many other things to say, and hopefully these will assist you in your journey to a new and higher level of understanding the power available to all who truly believe. Jesus made it very clear in His teachings such as in the book of John in the New Testament Chapter 14 verses 12-14-He said-“Anyone who (truly) believes in Me CAN do what I do, and even greater” The secret is to understand the word CAN, which contains all the principles needed to do this.
